DiemHang’s baking journey

About Me

After earning my degree in computer science, I followed my passion for pastry and continued my training through the Pastry and Art Design program at NSCC and the International Sugar Art program in France, where I studied with Stéphane Klein.

Over the years, I’ve worked as a pastry chef and developed a love for creating detailed desserts and custom cake designs.

In 2019, I started my home bakery in Ottawa. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to create cakes and desserts that bring my clients’ ideas to life. I focus on using quality ingredients and thoughtful design to make each piece both beautiful and enjoyable.

I’ve always enjoyed exploring new techniques, especially in cookie decorating, royal icing, cake design, and sugar flowers and sharing that knowledge with others.

With more than 18 years of experience as a cake artist and business owner, I understand both the creative and practical sides of running a bakery.

More recently, I’ve expanded into coaching, where I support bakers and creative entrepreneurs in building structure, clarity, and a more sustainable way of working.

Whether through baking or coaching, my goal is to create work that feels thoughtful, grounded, and meaningful.
