No matter how you choose to serve this versatile berry fruit salad, it’s sure to become a favorite, whether it’s the center piece of your breakfast table or the grand finale of a delightful meal. Enjoy!

Get ready to indulge in wholesome and nutritious delights that can seamlessly fit into your breakfast, brunch, or dessert menu. Today, let's explore a summer fruit salad, brimming with fresh berries and bursting with vitamin C, and discover its versatility in various delectable forms.

For our centerpiece, I’ve selected a medley of fresh berries to craft a vibrant, refreshing fruit salad. This simple ensemble is a treasure trove of flavors and nutrients that everyone can effortlessly prepare.

Prepare fruit salad for summer dessert

Shall we begin?

First, thoroughly wash and rinse a bowl of blueberries and raspberries. As for the strawberries, quarter them if they’re large, or simply halve the smaller ones. Toss in one or two sections of orange, preferably seedless, for an extra burst of citrus. I always save the orange peels to make zesty orange candy—no waste here!

Mix berries and maple syrup

To sweeten our bowl of goodness, I opt for maple syrup instead of regular sugar. Drizzle one or two tablespoons of maple syrup over the fruit.

Now, gently toss the berries together, being careful not to crush the delicate raspberries.

This delightful salad serves perfectly at any time of day—be it for breakfast, brunch, or as a light dessert. For a sophisticated twist when entertaining, add a splash of Grand Marnier or your preferred liqueur.

To elevate the dessert experience even further, I recommend serving the fruit salad with a few meringue kisses, a dollop of passion fruit cream, and a refreshing scoop of French vanilla ice cream, whether homemade or store-bought. Top everything off with more crunchy meringue kisses and a bit more passion fruit cream or lemon curd for an irresistible treat.

Et voilà!

Wow, isn’t that delightful? Each bite is like a little piece of heaven. If you’re an ice cream lover, this combination is simply divine. You can store the fruit salad in the fridge for up to three days, depending on the freshness of your fruits.

And there it is—my yogurt and fruit salad breakfast, a perfect, nutritious start to the day.
