Cream-cheese Frosting

This frosting is super soft and smooth gooey delicious. it has the richness, tangy of cream cheese flavour without being too sweet. It‘s perfect for carrot cake, red velvet cake, but it’s so tasty you could use it for any flavour cake as you prefer.

Yield:

  • 850g

Supplies:

  • Mixing bowl, stand mixer

  • Spatula

  • Whisk

  • Scale

Ingredients: 

  • 250g cream cheese (at room temperature)

  • 100g soft butter (at room temperature)

  • 500g icing sugar

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Steps: 

  1. Cream the soft cream cheese, if you use a stand mixer with a paddle attachment, it will take 5-10 minutes

  2. Add softened room temperature butter and continue beating until the cream texture is smooth with no lumps

  3. Add icing sugar and vanilla, and beat at low speed at first then at high speed until well combined. Should take 2-3 minutes

  4. When the cream cheese frosting has a light, fluffy, smooth texture, it’s ready to use. Store in an airtight container for up to one week.

    Option: If you use a food processor add all ingredients together and process all at once
